국립 경기장의 설계에 참여한 건축가 쿠마 켄고 씨와 2024 년 파리 올림픽을 목표로 한 새로운 도시 디자인을 건축가로 총괄하는 도미니크 페로 씨를 초청하여 공공 건축이 도시 나 시민 생활에 미치는 성과와 애프터 코로나 건축 · 도시의 비전에 대해 말씀 듣겠습니다.

대만 디자인 연구원의 Zhang Jiyi 원장 등을 맞이해 유럽 중심의 디자인 관에 얽매이지 않고 아시아 고유의 디자인을 갖기 위해서는 무엇이 필요한지, 또한 대만의 디자인 전략에 대해 공유합니다.

일본에서는 아직도 예술의 문턱이 높다고 기피되며 확장되지 않는 시장 규모에 대해 탄식하고 있습니다. 그러나 코로나 재난에서 예술이 어떻게 우리를 정신적으로 지유하고 마음의 풍요로움을 만드는 원동력이었는지 새삼 깨닫습니다. 앙겔라 메르켈 독일 총리가 던진 것처럼 일본에서도 예술이 생명선과 정착시키기 위해서는 어떻게해야 하는가?

물건을 '만든다' 라는 행위는 지구와 생물에서 자원을 채취하고 생산하고 배출하는 생태계의 일부분입니다. 동시에 경제뿐만 아니라 사회 활동을 순환시키는 행위이기도했습니다. 그 주기에 왜곡이 발생하고 있는 지금, 지속 가능한 것으로 만들기 위해서는? 미래를 내다보는 숙련된 기술과 첨단 기술이 결합된 창의성을 기대합니다.
